The Sunray team have expert knowledge in medical billing for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Wound Care, Dermatology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, ENT, ASC billing, Psychiatry/Psychology/Behavioral Health, Pulmonology, PCP/Internal Medicine, and many more specialities. Also, Sunray has extensive experience in Credentialing/Enrollments.
Michele's early years were at Franklin Templeton Mutual Funds where she gained valuable financial experience. In 2000, she began work in medical billing at a pediatric hospital working with intensive care doctors, hospitalists, anesthesiologists and radiologists. She moved over to Physical/Occupational Therapy handling all aspects of the billing office, including charge entry, payments and denials, accounts receivable, insurance verification, and obtaining authorizations. Soon, Michele became the Revenue Cycle Manager in Oncology with a staff of seven employees. Under her leadership, her team was able to clear an aging of 10+ years with a collection rate of 54 percent on the older dates of service over two years old. Michele later worked for a medical billing company, where she learned to handle many providers, successfully managing multi-speciality billing with due diligence on collections with minimal write-offs.
As a natural progression of Michele's indepth experience in financial and Revenue Cycle Management, she formed Sunray Medical Billing Solutions, a successful billing company with dedicated employees who treat the physician's revenue as if it were their own. Sunray strives to keep aging claims under 4 percent, and 98 percent of their claims go out clean, ensuring prompt payment for the providers.
